The Ford City Business Improvement Association is thrilled to unveil the most anticipated event of the year, Dropped on Drouillard 2024, happening on Saturday, August 17th, from 11 am until 10 pm (Rain or Shine). Prepare yourself for an exhilarating day filled with non-stop entertainment, vibrant culture, and a celebration of community like never before! This festival is packed with events and attractions such as live music, live painting, a car show, interactive art, BMX performances, skateboarding and plenty of vendors for attendees to enjoy! 
Dropped on Drouillard stands proudly as Windsor's one and only all-day urban street and culture festival, nestled in the beating heart of Ford City. Drawing inspiration from the neighbourhood's remarkable growth since 2019, this year's extravaganza promises to exceed all expectations with a mesmerizing array of events and attractions.
Witness the streets come alive with the music of The Indiana Drones, Psychic Void, Johnstonsons (Detroit) and many other bands and DJs creating an unforgettable atmosphere that will keep you dancing from dawn till dusk. We are also featuring street performers from Velvet Edge Entertainment, who will blow you away with their fire breathing and aerial acts.

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex County Branch (CMHA-WECB), the Windsor Essex County Suicide Prevention Coalition, and its many community partners, including the Windsor Essex County Health Unit, annually recognize Suicide Awareness Month each September with a variety of outreach, education, and community events.
 
As part of this year’s activities, CMHA-WECB is excited to announce a t-shirt design contest aimed at raising awareness and sparking conversation around mental health, suicide prevention, and life promotion.
 
CMHA-WECB is inviting artists, designers and advocates of all ages and abilities to take part in the design contest. The winning design will be featured on a limited-edition t-shirt, with proceeds supporting the suicide prevention initiatives of CMHA-WECB.
 Contest Details: 
The design should reflect the World Suicide Prevention Day theme of “Changing the Narrative on Suicide”, and incorporate symbols, colours or messages that promote suicide awareness and life promotion.
The contest is open to all individuals.
The contest will run from July 31st until 4:00pm on Friday, August 9th.
Designs should be submitted in high-resolution digital format (JPEG, PNG, PDF, EPS or AI files) via email to [email protected]
The entries will then be shared for public voting from August 12-23.
The winning submission will be announced August 24thand t-shirt orders will be open to the public until September 6th.
 Prizes: The winner will receive a $100 cash prize, will be featured on the CMHA-WECB website and social media channels, receive recognition at the annual Suicide Awareness Month community walk, and receive a complimentary t-shirt.
The second and third place designs will receive honourable mentions on the CMHA-WECB website and social media channels.
 CMHA-WECB encourages the Windsor-Essex community to spread the word to your creative friends and family, and to purchase a t-shirt once the winning design is announced.

Guest hosts Dan MacDonald and Kristen Siapas are joined by Britt LeRoux,  LGBTQIA+ activist. Last year, Bubba Christopher Michael Pollock got into an argument with LeRoux based off a failed protest opposing an event where drag queens read stories to kids. Pollock then drove to Windsor to take a selfie next to LeRoux's dying father who was unconcious in a pallative care hospital bed.
