This week our remarkable kid is Reese Jean Litfin, and she was nominated by her grandmother Carolyn.

We know Reese is remarkable because she was chosen last year as a Storm Star at LaSalle Public school. This is an award given to a student that shows kindness, empathy and respect. During the summer last year, Reese heard about a little girl who is suffering from a brain tumor. She is the daughter of a co-worker of her mother. Reese decided with another friend to sell popcorn outside the front of her house to make money for her friend. She always wanted a cause to fund raise to help someone in need.  With the help of her mother, Reese managed to raise and unbelievable amount of $5,950.00 to cover expenses to cover she costs for the trips back and forth to London for treatments. In Reese's free time she enjoys figure skating and competing within Ontario.  She also teaches youngster how to skate in the Vollmer canskate program

Reese will receive a $50 Capri Pizza gift card and qualify for the $2,500 sponsorship. Tune in to CTV News tonight at 6 to find out more about Reese!
