On the forty-fourth punch-drunk episode of Much Review About Nothing we reviewed Mortal Kombat (2021). Again, we must point out that we haven't seen the movie. That is 100% not a joke. Everything we know about the film comes from the trailer, reviews, articles, and our own biased preconceptions. Listen along as we ponder burning questions like: Why is there no death tournament featured in this alleged Mortal Kombat movie? Who’s the genius that traded Johnny Cage for Cole Young? Is Arcana the new Midi-chlorians? Why does racism give you superpowers? If the fatalities in this movie aren’t real, then what was Lewis Tan seeing on set? But most importantly, when will an adaptation of this franchise finally have the self-awareness to show someone winning a match by spamming “leg-sweep” or “uppercut” over and over? Come on, we all did it at some point!
