This film was directed by Simon McQuoid, is based on the video game series and is a sequel to the 2021 film, which was also directed by McQuoid. The film sees Jessica McNamee, Mechod Brooks, Ludi Lin, Lewis Tan, Josh Lawson, Chin Han & Hiroyuki Sanada all return to their respective roles but are also joined by the likes of Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle & Martyn Ford. In this film, a new combatant is chosen to join a team of fighters to defend the realm of Earth from an evil emperor who seeks to enslave the realms. After the first was a mediocre success, New Line quickly began production on a sequel but due to delays and the 2023 SAG-AFTA strikes, the film wouldn’t conclude until January 2024 despite most of the film being completed. The film hit theaters on May 8th, 2026.
