Do you like to wait? Does anyone really? Yet, here’s the challenge, if you want God’s dunamis power, you’ve got to be willing to wait on God. Waiting gets us ready and opens us up to receive God's dunamis power. Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Pentecost and learn some key ways to actively and productively wait on the Lord.

The Greek word dunamis is used 120 times in the New Testament. Loosely, the word refers to “strength, power, or ability.” In our world today there are many striving for power and our culture interprets power in a negative and controlling manner. However, that is not how this Greek word “Dunamis” is interpreted. Dunamis is not just any power; the word often refers to miraculous power. In our sermon series, we are focusing on this power through the Holy Spirit that transforms lives. This week, we will focus on how God's power helps us especially through our times of weakness.

Hear the story of the woman who anointed Jesus's feet.

Phoebe supported Paul and was trusted by him to deliver his letter to the Romans.
He wrote “I commend to you our sister, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.”
Phoebe was a leader, and Paul wanted the Romans to know it.

The story of Lydia in the Bible is a great example of God’s providence and His care for believers. Lydia was a worshiper of God but had not yet heard the gospel. God rerouted Paul and his friends and also ensured that Lydia would be in the right place at the right time to encounter Paul and hear the good news of Jesus.
