In this teaching we look at how Jesus surprised his disciples with a revolutionary valuing of young children in the Kingdom of God. Because it's a solid foundational truth of our world: what you sow, you will reap. This applies in our inner lives just as much as in our gardens! In this teaching we look at God's perspective on our spiritual growth in this vein, and see how patient planting will certainly reap us a harvest of deep goodness if we don't give up. Many of us are tired and disheartened after a long pandemic season. We need to hear afresh God's word to us, encouraging us to plant with patience now for the harvest we want in our lives. Jesus, the Risen King, is able to sympathize with us in our sorrows so that we might also share in His resurrection (the greatest hope of all!). If that's true, what might that mean for your life? This year, as much as ever, we need hope -- real, weighty, solid stuff that we can sink our teeth into, collapse upon in exhaustion, and build our lives on.
