  • THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT (WK 1): “God Is On Your Side”
In The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus paints a vivid yet counterintuitive picture of what it looks like to be a part of the kingdom of God. It wasn't what anyone expected. God is doing what? He is inviting who? He is blessing them? I become a part of this how? Two thousand years later his message is every bit as shocking, freeing, beautiful and challenging to us as it was to its first hearers.
Special thanks to Scot McKnight, Christopher Moore, R.W. Glenn, Rob Bell and Frederick Dale Bruner for their contributions to this message. For more about Mosaic, visit us at mosaiclincoln.org.

  • CORE (WK 4): “Relevance to Culture is Not Optional”
There may not be a more overused and misunderstood word in the Christian vernacular than “relevance”. Over the years it seems the word has become associated in many people’s minds with trying to be cool. However, being cool, hip, or trendy is a rather sad goal for Jesus' church to chase after. So let us suggest a new word that gets right to the heart of what we mean: incarnation. After all, Jesus didn’t just come to die for us. He also came to show us how to live.
Special thanks to Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch for their contributions to this message. For more about Mosaic, visit us at mosaiclincoln.org.

  • CORE (WK 3): “Structure Must Always Submit to Spirit”
How can the church grow more in tune with the Spirit of God so we move when God says “Move” and stay when God says “Stay”?
In week three of our CORE series we explore the relationship between structure and spirit throughout the scriptures. How can we allow God to prune our lives and our church in order to be a conduit of life?

  • CORE (WK 2): “Love is the Context for All Mission”
How can God be crazy enough to love us unconditionally? How can we become a community defined by Grace and Love?
"God loves you as you are... Not as you should be." - Brennan Manning
Special thanks to Robert Capon and Brennan Manning for their contributions to this message.

  • CORE (WK 1): "Mission is Why the Church Exists"
    What makes Mosaic's heart beat?
In week 1 of our CORE values series, we walk through mission being the reason the church exists. The scriptures tell the story about God who is absolutely crazy about humanity. That from the very beginning of time God has pursued us. When we allow God to transform our hearts we, in turn, become a part of the mission to love the world.

  • FAST FORWARD (WK 3): “When Prayers Go Unanswered”
If there is one universal experience as it relates to prayer, it's having to deal with times in which God doesn't come through for us in the way we hoped. What are we to do when God goes silent and our prayers go unanswered? Have we done something wrong? Does God not care? Is our faith somehow broken? In the final week of our Fast Forward series we explore together how to understand and respond when our prayers go unanswered.

  • FAST FORWARD (WK 2): “Can We Hear God's Voice?”
What are we to make of people who claim to hear directly from God? Are we right to be cynical? Does God even work like that anymore? And if he does, what if we don't hear from him as others claim to? Does that mean that our faith is somehow broken, that we are less spiritual, or not as connects to God as others? Join us this week as we explore what it means to hear the voice of God. Special thanks to John Ortberg, Mark Batterson, Andy Stanley and Rick Warren for their contributions to this week's message.

  • FAST FORWARD (WK 1): "5 Reasons Our Prayers Go Unanswered"
Jesus introduced his followers to some very controversial ideas about prayer. What if prayer doesn't necessarily make us more spiritual, accomplish anything helpful, or draw us closer to God? What if there are actually effective ways to pray and ineffective ways to pray? What if there are prayers that God almost always rejects and prayers that He almost always receives? In week one of our series Fast Forward, we discuss five reasons our prayers often go unanswered. • At The Movies (WK 5 - The Shawshank Redemption): “Thirsty for Hope“
In our annual 'At The Movies' series we take a deep look at films that have shaped our lives and pull truth out of them. Our goal each year is to peel back the layers of these cultural pieces and find what Jesus would say to the issues and questions they raise. This year we are journeying together through our favorite 90's films as we journey through the Book of Proverbs together.
In week five of our series, Bill Radtke explores what The Shawshank Redemption and The Book of Proverbs have to say about hope.
