Sometimes we way to be told what to do or how to be - but when we work in our relationship with Jesus - we become like Him and do what He does, and maybe even more importantly, do what He does the WAY. he does it. Mary is in fact hard to identify with - the stillness, the attentiveness, the devotion. Even the fact that there is “work to do” and not do it. Even though it was Martha who “worked”, it is Mary whose work is most difficult. It is Mary’s “work” that we struggle with the most. Why?
