What if the experience you keep dismissing is exactly what someone else needs to hear? In this Spark in 10 episode of Mosaic Sparks™, Lesley George explores how to build confidence, recognize the value of your experiences, and share your voice with purpose.
You may have learned something through starting over, speaking up, or finding your way through uncertainty. When that lesson becomes familiar, it can be easy to underestimate its value. This episode invites you to consider how your experience could help someone facing a similar challenge.
We welcome our new Sparklers in Australia and thank every listener who makes this community part of their week. We also make room for you to celebrate a personal milestone or receive encouragement during a difficult season. Whatever this week holds, you are welcome here.

• Make room for celebration, compassion, and connection.
• Unbox Your Brilliance™ through the practice of BRAGG™, Be Responsible for Amplifying God’s Gifts in you.

Have you ever felt an instant connection with someone because they remembered your name or recognized where you came from? Those small details can open a conversation and leave a lasting impression.
In How to Acknowledge People Effectively, Lesley George explores a simple leadership practice: giving people specific recognition. Drawing from her experience as a Caribbean American woman, she shares why seeing a Disney cast member’s name and hometown on their badge makes her smile, and how that attention to identity creates an opportunity for connection.
This Spark in 10 offers a practical prompt for recognizing someone’s contribution with words that show you paid attention. Whether you lead a team, run a business, volunteer, or want to strengthen your everyday relationships, thoughtful acknowledgment gives you a way to help people feel seen and valued.
We’re also celebrated six months of Mosaic Sparks™ on October 4, thanking the Sparklers who make this podcast a joy to produce, and welcoming new listeners in Berlin, Germany; Greenwich, Connecticut; and the Dominican Republic.

Just like Meg in Hercules, business owners love to pretend they don't care. But the truth is, caring about customer feedback, reviews, and surveys is the only real path to business growth.
A review request arrived about three days after I purchased from a company. While completing it, I started thinking about how comfortable we are offering feedback and how uncomfortable we can become when someone reviews our own work.
We know the effort behind what we deliver. Hearing that someone left confused or disappointed can sting, especially when we genuinely believe we gave our best.
In this episode of Mosaic Sparks™ with Lesley George, we explore what we mean when we say, “I don’t care what people think.” Sometimes we are setting a boundary around advice we never requested. Other times, we are trying to close a conversation before it reaches a tender place.
Meg from Disney’s Hercules brings an emotional thread to this conversation through her reluctance to acknowledge how deeply she cares. Her guarded attitude opens the door to examining our own responses when honest feedback leaves us feeling exposed.
Whether you own a business or are growing in your career, this episode offers practical ways to receive feedback with confidence and decide what deserves your attention.
You’ll hear how to:
Set Clear Boundaries: Learn how to handle unsolicited advice without getting defensive.
Ask Better Questions: Turn vague, unhelpful criticism into highly useful information.
Spot Recurring Patterns: Recognize exactly when a customer concern needs a closer look.
Leverage Positive Reviews: Identify your hidden strengths so you can develop them further.
Take Actionable Steps: Follow through on feedback with simple, practical adjustments.
What feedback have you dismissed before giving it a chance to make sense?
Bring that question with you as you listen. Caring about the experience you create gives you a reason to stay curious and keep improving.

A promise can feel easy to make when the calendar is clear and everyone is excited. Keeping it months later, when schedules clash and your motivation has packed a bag, is a different conversation.
In December, a few family members and I made a commitment that would carry us through 2026. By September, I was seriously considering backing out. I had reasons that made sense, too. Yet I kept thinking about the people who knew what I had promised and what quitting would mean to me.
This week on Spark in 10, I’m talking about the uncomfortable side of accountability. Why do we hesitate to tell people about our goals? What happens to our confidence when we repeatedly talk ourselves out of following through? I’ll share what one difficult day taught me about self-integrity and the trust we build in ourselves, one decision at a time.
Listen in, then ask yourself: Who knows about the promise you’re trying to keep?

Miguel loved music, but in Disney and Pixar’s Coco, his family’s painful history taught him to keep it hidden. He practiced in secret, bound by a rule that began long before he was born. His story raises a question many of us recognize in our own lives: what happens when fear is passed down along with the gifts we are meant to develop?
In this episode of Mosaic Sparks™, Lesley George connects Miguel’s journey with the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. The servant who buried what was entrusted to him could return it, but he never gave it a chance to grow. Lesley explores how protecting a gift can feel responsible, especially when we understand the pain behind the warning, and why there comes a time to decide what we will do with what we have been given.
You will hear how the BRAGG™ framework helps you recognize your gift, record the proof of what you have done, respect its value, raise your voice, and reach back to help someone else. You do not need a large audience to make an impact. Sometimes your gift reaches the person who needs it most in one conversation, one room, or one brave moment.
Listen, then choose one meaningful way to use your gift this week. Explore BRAGG™ at braggworld.com, and continue the journey to Unbox Your Brilliance™.

What should you wear to a golf course, and what can a collared shirt teach you about confidence?
In this bonus Spark in 10 episode, Lesley shares a light golf course dress code lesson inspired by her day on the green. She connects the experience to Mulan and explains how learning the expectations of a new environment helps you enter prepared, confident, and ready to contribute. Remember to check the golf course's specific dress requirements before arriving.

What happened to the girl who always had something to say?
She was curious, expressive, and comfortable being seen. Then she entered rooms where few people shared her background, culture, or life experience. She began studying the room, measuring her words, and waiting for permission to use the voice that once came naturally.
In this episode of Mosaic Sparks™with Lesley George examines what happens when being the only one causes a woman to question the very qualities that earned her a place in the room. The conversation is inspired by filmmaker May el Toukhy, the only female director among 21 filmmakers in the main competition at the 2026 Venice Film Festival. Her film, Woman Unknown, received the Golden Lion, the festival’s highest honor.
Lesley connects this historic achievement with lessons from Disney and Pixar’s WALL E, a robot who continued working when every other robot of his kind had stopped. Although WALL E appeared small and outdated, he carried the living plant that represented humanity’s future. His story reminds us that the person who looks least like the expected leader may carry the perspective, idea, or solution that everyone else has overlooked.
Lesley also shares her experience as the only Black woman serving on a nonprofit board. There were moments when she remained quiet and waited for permission, even though she had earned her place at the table. Over time, she released the story that made her question herself, reclaimed the voice she had used freely as a child, and eventually became the organization’s first Black president.
Through the O.W.N. lessons, I challenge women to own their place in the room, let go of their need for permission, and name their gift so they can use it.
God does not make mistakes, and you are not one. Your voice, experience, personality, and perspective carry value. Someone may be waiting for the insight you have almost convinced yourself to withhold.

What happens when “I’m fine” becomes the answer we give because we cannot explain what we feel, do not feel safe enough to tell the truth, or believe everyone expects us to keep smiling?
In this episode of Mosaic Sparks™, Lesley George explores Joy from Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out through the lens of emotional honesty, leadership, relationships, and everyday life. Joy means well, yet her determination to keep everything cheerful leaves little room for sadness, fear, anger, and disappointment. Many women experience the same pressure at work, at home, in church, and even within themselves. They hold the room together while quietly falling apart behind the familiar words, “I’m fine.”
This conversation examines the difference between genuine joy and performed happiness. You will learn why every emotion carries information, how constant emotional masking affects confidence and connection, and how to respond when someone may need more than a quick “How are you?”
Lesley also celebrates everyone marking a special milestone in September and shares her gratitude for Mosaic Sparks™ reaching the top 10 percent of podcasts globally on Listen Notes on the exact day the show turned five months old. Special love goes to the Sparklers listening in San Antonio, Texas, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and around the world. You helped make this moment possible.
Listen, reflect, and ask yourself: Am I experiencing joy, or am I performing it because I do not want anyone to see what else I am carrying?

Mosaic Sparks with Lesley George is a bold personal-growth podcast for women ready to reclaim their voice, rebuild confidence, and turn life experiences into purpose, power, and…
Every woman carries pieces. Some came from disappointment. Some came from transition, grief, ambition, reinvention, silence, survival, or seasons where she kept showing up without applause. Those pieces are not random. They hold receipts. They hold lessons. They hold the kind of wisdom that cannot be bought, borrowed, or faked.
This podcast creates space for honest conversations about confidence, identity, healing, leadership, creativity, visibility, and becoming the woman you were always meant to be. Through personal stories, transformational insight, and practical reflection, each episode helps you look at your life with sharper vision and stronger language.
Rooted in BRAGG™ and Unbox Your Brilliance™, this show speaks to the woman who knows there is more in her than what the world has seen. More voice. More vision. More authority. More creativity. More courage. More assignment. The good stuff has been sitting under the surface like a luxury item still wrapped in the box. Beautiful, valuable, and waiting to be opened with intention.
Here, confidence becomes a daily decision. Purpose becomes something you practice. Healing becomes movement. Your story becomes material you can use to speak, write, lead, build, teach, create, and serve with greater impact.
This podcast is for the woman navigating life transitions, rediscovering her identity, rebuilding self-worth, stepping into leadership, writing a new chapter, or learning to show up without shrinking her presence to fit the room.
Expect real talk, personal growth strategies, women’s empowerment, confidence building, mindset shifts, storytelling, leadership lessons, and the kind of truth that makes you sit up a little straighter and say, “Wait a minute, that’s me.”
Subscribe, share, and leave a positive review, and start turning your life’s pieces into purpose.
