VisionQuest Episodes 5 & 6 Explained: Ultron’s Plan, The Client & MCU Theories

SPOILER WARNING: We’re going all the way to the end of Clayface. Logan Janis and the Mostly Superheroes crew break down Matt Hagen’s transformation, the nanotechnology behind his powers, the shocking murders, the final showdown, and that unforgettable last shot.
Does Clayface become a full-fledged villain? Are the nanobots controlling him, or are they bringing out who he really is? And how does this standalone Gotham City story compare to other comic-book villain movies like Joker, Morbius, and Kraven?
We discuss the shapeshifting, practical effects versus CGI, the disturbing airplane sequence, the nightclub massacre, the final twist involving the doctor, and why this movie doesn’t need Batman to tell a compelling story. We also dig into comic-book lore, Batman: The Animated Series, possible future DCU appearances, and what this movie could mean for James Gunn’s Batman.

LOST WITH LOGAN begins! Logan Janis launches a brand-new Mostly Superheroes rewatch series covering all 121 episodes of Lost — one episode at a time, with full-series spoilers, live reactions, trivia, behind-the-scenes facts, and a running attempt to track what the show actually answers.

In Season 1, Episode 1 — “Pilot, Part 1,” we return to the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 and the introduction of Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Sawyer, Charlie, Claire, Sayid, Shannon, Boone, Jin, Sun, Michael, Walt, Rose and the rest of the survivors. This episode also establishes the Lost With Logan Answer Tracker, which we'll carry from episode to episode: what mysteries, questions and claims have been answered, what remains unresolved, and what we learn along the way. Episode score: IMDb rating discussed in the show: 9.1/10. Lost With Logan Answer Tracker: Not yet formally scored in Episode 1 — this episode establishes the tracking system so we can maintain the numbers consistently going forward rather than inventing a score after the fact. The show specifically discusses tracking what is answered and unanswered across the series. Key facts identified in this episode: Lost premiered September 22, 2004. Oceanic Flight 815 crashes on an unknown island. The episode describes 48 survivors of the crash. The plane was 1,000 miles off course. Jack, Kate and Charlie discover the cockpit. The pilot is killed by the mysterious creature in the jungle. John Locke was previously paralyzed but can walk after the crash. Charlie is revealed to be a member of Drive Shaft. Jack's famous five-second fear story is introduced. The two-hour pilot reportedly had a $12 million production budget. The transcript identifies several production and casting facts, including the original plan for Jack to be killed and Michael Keaton being considered for Jack. The original pilot would have been substantially different, with Kate becoming the primary leader if Jack had died. The episode contains the first major appearance of the mysterious monster/smoke threat. Donkey Worm Holes, Attacking Butts, Spontaneous Orgasms, Cock Roach/Rat Make Out, and so much more. That's right. Today's episode is all about DOOM PATROL Season One (Season Two Deep Dive coming soon). Listen as Logan talks all about the deep, wacky corners of the DC Universe (now part of HBO MAX) that are explored in this fun, deeper-than-you-think show, that packs a unique punch in every single episode. Watch on YouTube to get all the visuals. Thanks for listening. Enjoy!

S1E5: Doom Patrol Season 1

Listen as I break down BOTH Seasons 1 and 2 of Netflix's 'The Umbrella Academy'. Talking monkey, robot mom, spontaneous births, and everything else that comes with this wacky show, I talk about IT ALL. Yeah yeah I'll miss some stuff. That's why you're here. Listen and Subscribe, AND THEN go to our social channels to chirp me about how I suck and missed the whole point of the show (or tell me I did a good job). Man, I am having fun. Enjoy!

S1E4: The Umbrella Academy Seasons 1 & 2

If you are trying to introduce a superhero podcast to your kid, I would consider choosing a different episode. If I worked at the FCC, I would rate this one 17+. Join host Logan and his two guest, Mike and Andy, as they explore their favorite heroes in total adult fashion. We discuss everything. From Iron Man vs. Batman, to FMK with Wonder Woman/Black Widow/Captain Marvel, we covert it all.  Mike talks about thinking he actually had Wolverine's healing powers. Andy talks about his friend's podcast where they talk with no pants. Apologies in advance as the audio has room for improvement. I'm still new. It gets better from here. Promise. Enjoy!
