On today’s podcast, Leslie will be chatting with Kate Batistelli all about life after our children launch and leave the home.  Kate has a fascinating testimony that we’re excited for you to hear, but she’s also further along in her parenting journey than most of us are, so she’s going to be giving us some insight about empty nests and how to prepare yourself andyour kiddos for the next stage of life. 

Kate Battistelli is living proof God will use anyone if they’re willing. She’s the author of the bestseller, The God Dare: Will You Choose to Believe the Impossible and Growing Great Kids: Partner with God to Cultivate His Purpose in Your Child’s Life. Kate experienced infertility, miscarriage, an abortion at age 18, and four failed adoption attempts which all wreaked havoc on her life. She had a life-changing experience as a young actress in New York City, going from understudy to starring as Anna in the Broadway National Tour of The King and I opposite Yul Brynner for more than 1,000 performances. Kate and her husband laid down their careers, and the Broadway theatre in answer to their first “God dare” and moved out of New York City and into a life of homeschooling and home business. As their daughter grew and began expressing her gifts in music and songwriting, they learned there was a bigger purpose in leaving their careers than they had imagined. Kate is the mother of DOVE and GRAMMY Award-winning Christian recording artist Francesca Battistelli, and she’s thrilled to be one of the hosts of the popular Mom to Mom Podcast.
