In this episode of Motherhood in Stereo, I’m joined by trend expert and creative consultant Niki Schwan, whose story is a beautiful reminder that life doesn’t always follow the timeline we imagine.

Already a mum to an older daughter and with an established career across fashion and entertainment, Niki met the love of her life at 47. Then, at 50, she became a mum again — this time to twins.

As a fellow twin mum who also became a mother in my fifties, this was such a special conversation for me.

We talk about finding love later in life, deciding to start again, the shock of discovering there were TWO babies, pregnancy and motherhood at 50, and the reality of raising twins.

Niki also shares what it’s like experiencing motherhood more than two decades apart, how age has changed the way she parents, balancing two children who need you at the same time, and holding onto your identity as a woman while navigating motherhood.
