Here's the truth: You are going to exit your business one day.
Whether you sell it, close it down, or transfer ownership, it's going to happen—unless someone finds the fountain of youth and you hack the art of living forever!
Too many micro and small businesses don't think or operate in a way that supports the big picture of their life. As a result, they miss vital opportunities to make wise decisions and investments that could potentially set them up for financial security long after their days of running the business are over.
No matter how small your business is, you have to be thinking and planning for the future and your retirement.
To help ensure you don't fall into the trap of thinking this is a problem for the future, I've invited Cliff Spolander, a business strategist and exit planner, to talk us through the various ways you can successfully exit your business (and exit does not always mean to sell).
He'll share the steps you can and should be taking right now to ensure you're setting yourself up for success, not just now, but long into your future.
Don't miss this crucial episode! Tune in to learn how to secure your financial future and make strategic decisions that will benefit you long after you’ve exited your business.
Today, we’re breaking new ground—quite literally—by bringing on our first-ever male guest!
Yes, you heard that right. We're shattering our own glass ceiling to introduce you to a man who knows the business world inside out, especially when it comes to the art of the business exit.
And who better to kick off this unprecedented episode than my very own big brother, Cliff Spolander?
Cliff isn’t just any guest; he’s a seasoned business strategist and exit planner who’s here to share his wisdom on a topic that's woefully under-discussed in the female entrepreneur space: How to successfully exit your business!
Without further ado, let’s welcome the man, the myth, the legend—my big brother, Cliff Spolander!
In this episode, you’re going to learn:
Diverse selling avenues: family, internal staff, or external buyers
How to use our Business Reflection Tool to enhance your company
Early strategic planning tips to ensure long-term financial security
Real-world examples illustrating how to attract the right buyers and secure lucrative deals.

I've never felt more exposed and vulnerable sharing any piece of content throughout my entire experience in business.
The nudge to record this episode just didn't go away, despite my internal arguments and excuses as to why I didn't have to or need to record it.
So I gave in.
Despite the sweaty palms and stomach churns before recording, I don't think I've ever felt so at ease (and soul-level happy) as I did while recording this episode.
My hope in sharing my testimony, my faith journey, my experience of finding God, and now my life walking with God is that it'll show the whole picture of who I am, and not simply the snappy success sound bites that fit in the box of marketing or 'ideal content'.
I also hope it inspires thought and reflection for you.
Whether you're already on your journey of faith or just beginning to explore, I encourage you to go deeper, to seek with an open heart, and to embrace the transformative power of faith.
As promised, here are just a few of the resources that I've loved over the years:

In this episode, you’re going to learn:
Navigating cultural shifts and faith across continents.

This is hands down one of the most raw, authentic and unfiltered conversations about the journey of being a mother in business I've ever had the pleasure of. For this week's episode, I invited fellow business coach and strategist Janita Flaschlunger to share her business building expertise as a busy mama of 2. This episode is going to give you so much insight, relief from the constant striving, and hopefully a whole new perspective on your business building journey, both past and future. We deep dive into our own personal stories of how our businesses have pivoted and evolved over the years, the mistakes made, the self doubt overcome, and the fear conquered around stepping into your God given identity and purpose in your business. We also share our thoughts on the current state of the business coaching industry and what we wish people knew and did before jumping in and investing in various programs and coaches. Plus Janita talks about the biggest stumbling blocks for mamas in business both from a mindset and strategy perceptive - and most importably how to get over or avoid both! So grab your coffee, and join us for one of the most uplifting chats you’re going to have this week!
Hello, beautiful souls! So I just had this incredible chat with Janita Falschlunger, an amazing entrepreneurial mom and business coach from South Africa. It was such an enlightening conversation and I can’t wait to share some of the juicy details with you.
Janita’s story is so inspiring. She went from offering free business coaching to becoming a successful paid professional, all while juggling the joys and challenges of motherhood. We really got into the nitty-gritty of how our Southern Hemisphere roots have played a role in our adaptability and resilience as business owners living in the Northern Hemisphere.
One of the most relatable parts of our conversation was about facing failures and the reality that business growth isn’t always a smooth ride. We agreed that it’s about the journey of planning, executing, testing, tweaking and sometimes even failing before you hit the sweet spot.
Throughout the episode, Janita’s energy and insights were just off the charts. Whether you’re a mompreneur, a budding business owner or just curious about the online business world, this episode is packed with actionable advice and heartfelt stories that I’m sure will resonate with you. Can’t wait for you to listen in and maybe find that spark you’ve been looking for to take your own business to the next level.
In this episode, you’re going to learn:
How to balance the demands of motherhood with the challenges of building and growing a successful online business.
The journey from offering free business coaching to becoming a paid professional and the importance of valuing your expertise.
Strategies for dealing with business failures and setbacks and the iterative process of growth.
Entrepreneurial mindset, particularly the need to adopt a CEO mentality, develop effective pricing strategies and detach emotionally from business outcomes.
Psychology of money and investment in business, examining the various attitudes clients have towards paying for coaching and support.
