Physicians ask lots of questions when they meet with a patient. Why? To attempt to discover the root of the problem. When we pray for the sick, we must also get to the heart of the sickness. Sometimes this is apparent; other times, it takes using the tools Christ left us to alleviate the pain.

One of the more controversial subjects regarding Healing the Sick is Inner Healing. First and foremost, is inner healing biblical. The simple answer is yes. Jesus himself came to earth to specifically provide inner healing according to his own testimony. The Word Of Faith movement is notorious for preaching and teaching the need to develop faith and the role faith plays in healing the sick. However, in many instances, faith is reduced to a mere formula. When the recipe doesn't materialize, the practitioner is blamed for failure.
