Who are you when the uniform is off and it's just your on your own or you're at home with family or out with your friends? Who are you deep down at your core? In order to maximize our potential and realize what we were meant for, we need to peel back the layers of who we think we are and see who we really are in order to make a difference with what we do.

  • A Blanket of Trust
Think about the last time you were cold and had the chance to cover yourself with a warm blanket. Now recall how you relaxed in that moment. Now think about it in terms of when someone we are caring for is given a warm blanket. How does that make them feel in relation to their condition? Does it change the dynamic in how you are able to care for them? Does it add a layer of trust between you and them to where it decreases the stress of their situation and allows you to do what you do well? On today's episode, I am going to dive into the topic of trust and how a warm blanket is more than just...well...a warm blanket.

  • Recall Your Beginnings

Do you recall when you started your career? Do you remember the challenges and excitement? Do you remember how it felt to be "the new person" on the truck or in the department? It is essential to your growth in what you do to reference your beginnings from time to time. Remember the people that impacted you and how it helped shape who you are as a clinician and even as a person. That's what today's podcast is all about.

  • Emotions
Emotions. We all have them. Some are much more pronounced than others, but in the end, we all get emotional to a certain point. In this episode, I will talk about 3 key points in regards to our emotions. We must first acknowledge that we have them, we must then learn to discipline them and then we must allow them to happen. Take a listen as I get all emotional on emotions! If you ever need someone to talk to, never hesitate to email or message me on Facebook and if I can't provide the help or guidance you need, I know many others that can and will be happy to do so. Don't stuff it down. Get it out and talk. Don't give up on you. YOU are the reason why I do this podcast. YOUR life MATTERS!
