Apologies for the lateness of this Pod Cast! In this episode Jim and Rich cover everything from Aragon! The kick it off with some great listener feedback about semi-automated ride height devices. Then they go over the news of Martins contract issues and the semi bombshell of Toprak signing a one year deal to race a Pramac Yamaha in 2026.

Finally they guys cover the racing. The Moto3 Class was a classic with the twist of making sure you picked the right tire. This odd set of conditions resulted in a first time winner Munoz who just barely defeated the new rookie sensation Quiles!

The Moto2 race was the best of the weekend and also included a first time winner. Moreira rode through the pack and chased down race leader Oncu in the closing laps. Oncu never quit and kept pushing. On the last lap at the last turn Oncu rode around the outside of Moreira to win the closest Moto2 race ever by 0.003 seconds!!

MotoGp was a bit boring as Marc Marquez lead every secession ook pole position and won then sprint and on Sunday lead every lap in dominate fashion to win the main event. Domination like this has not been seen in this class since Marc himself did the same thing a decade ago at the German GP in 2015. This is the domination that we all feared when Marc was chosen to ride the factory Ducati. On the bright side Pecco appears to have found the feeling again on his Ducati and may yet be able to challenge Marc. Stay tuned!

As Round 8 at Aragon gets set to commence, Jim and Rich look back at a highly eventful set of races 2 weeks ago at Silverstone in the UK. For once, Moto2 dished up the race of the day, but there was plenty of action and incident in the MotoGP and Moto 3 races too. The lads also discuss listener feedback, ongoing contractual disputes at Aprilia, a nasty injury for HRC’s Luca Marini and the vexed question of why Silverstone draws in such a small trackside audience.

Jim and Rich dive into the crazy, complicated and confusing Grand Prix from Le Mans. The Moto3 boys kicked off the action on damp but drying tack on Sunday morning. The race was calm by the normal Moto3 standards, but the last lap more than made up for the lack of action. Kelso was looking for his first ever Moto3 win and was leading Munoz and Rueda. In the second to last turn Munoz dive bombed Kelso which caused both to go off track. This allowed Rueda to pass both of them and take a surprise victory. The Moto2 riders were forced to watch the back of Gonzalez for the whole race as he dominated. MotoGP was where all the action and surprises were. Quartararo shocked with pole position or Marc Marquez.. In the Sprint Marc used a smooth and patient approach to take the win over his brother and rookie sensation Aldeguer. On Sunday the weather played havoc with everyone as new rules caused chaos. Picking the right tire was critical as some riders went from slicks to wets to slicks and back to wets. However the man who made all the right calls was Zarco. He became the first Frenchmen to win the French Grand Prix in 71 years.

Jim and Rich catch up to talk through the race action at Jerez. The MotoGP race delivered the main talking points of the weekend, with Marc Marquez crashing out and younger brother Alex taking his maiden main race win. Heading into Round 6 at Le Mans, the championship is tight at top with the Marquez brothers and Bagnaia separated by just 20 points.

im and Rich dive into the Qatar Grand Prix in this episode. They guys cover all of the great racing action as all three races plus the sprint with action packed and full of drama. The Moto3 boys started off the evening with a great race that came down to a last lap, last corner dash to the line. By luck or great race strategy Piqueras won his second race of the year will Rueda had a mechanical failure and did not earn any points. Next up the Moto2 Crew had a good as as championship leader Jake Dixon crashed out and slow starting front row man Canet went from 3rd on the grid to 14th and then chased down the leaders to win his first race of the year and take the lead in the championship. Lastly the MotoGP grid bolstered by the return of Martin had their best races of the season. Marc Marquez won the sprint while Bagnaia finished 8th. The race Sunday night was action filled as the Marquez brother tangled at the first turn. Surprisingly Vinales raced to the front on his KTM only to run wide and let Marc take the victory. Bagnaia finished third but was promoted to 2nd after Vinales was penalized for low tire pressure. Morbidelli was third.

Jim and Rich start of this episode with some listener feed back. Seems The guys missed the fact that American Rossi Moor has signed to ride in the Junior GP Moto2 class this year (link below). Next Jim and Rich tackle the news starting off with Pirelli becoming the sole tire supplier for the entire MotoGP paddock in 2027. They discuss the Ogura disqualification and chat about the X rant that people are becoming bored with the sprint races. Lastly they cover all the action from Argentina. Piqueras opened his winning bank account with a somewhat controversial win in Moto3. What does the rule really say about touching the green paint on the last lap? Inquiring minds want to know. British pride was on full display in Moto2 as Jake Dixon took a commanding win and moved into second in the championship chase. Lastly MotoGp and what can you say about Marc’s incredible start to the season. The result may have been the same as last race when Marc battled his brother for the win, but how we got there this time is completely different. The guys also wonder when Marc will actually loose a race.

MotoGP action proper resumes just in time for MotoPod episode #800. Jim and Rich discuss the races from Thailand as the 2025 season gets properly underway. Great races in Moto3 and Moto2 with action and controversy in each. In MotoGP Marc Marquez starts off as he means to continue with a dominant double win, but elsewhere there was plenty to savour with Ogura stunning on his Trackhouse Aprilia debut and signs of real progress from the Japanese teams. Its going to be a great year of racing folks.

Jim and Rich sit down and try to predict the Champions in all three classes. First they start with the news that Jorge Martin will miss the opening Thai round and then proceed to run down their champions list for the MotoGp class. The guys are so wildly different until they reach the top two places. Then they move on to the top five in Moto2 and Moto3. Again their list could not be more different. Rich then brings us up to speed on the WSBK season opener down under at PI. Lastly Jim gets on a rant about safety in the Daytona 200 after some major crashes in sketchy conditions.
