Jimmie Johnson ended the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular season on Sunday just like he did last year after he took the checkered flag for the second straight year in the Chevy Rock Roll 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
Johnson held off Tony Stewart in a battle to the checkered flag to pick-up his fourth victory of the season in Sunday's rain-delayed race.
The win was the defending series champion's third win in the last seven races and the No. 48 team clearly brings a great deal of momentum into this year's Chase, which begins next Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
