Grace Basement releases it's fourht album, "Mississippi Nights," and we talk to the creative force behind the project, Kevin Buckley. We also hear from a handful of music fans about albums released in 2017 that didn't get the attention they deserved.

In this episode, we talk to Darian Wigfall of the record label and artist collective FarFetched whose artists consistently push musical boundaries. The collective itself is working to redefine how independent musicians approach the business of making and releasing their art.

We also chat with Jess Luther of local music blog I Went To A Show dot COM. She shares some info on the Art of Life Festival, which takes place in St. Louis in January 2018.

Sean Canan has played in Falling Fences and Bockman for most of his musical career, but a few years ago he started a weekly gig that has evolved into the most epic of tribute projects. Every Wednesday night at the Broadway Oyster Bar in downtown St. Louis, Sean Canan's Voodoo Players dive into the catalog of a well known artist.They've covered Bob Dylan, Phish, The Band, Simon and Garfunkel, Jimi Hendrix, and lots, lots more. Each week, Sean puts together a different band consisting of musicians that are seasoned in the particular genre at-hand.In this episode, we talk to Sean about his Voodoo Players project, and his experiences as a musician in St. Louis in general.We also discuss contemporary soul music with DJ and radio promoter Chris Sanley, and hear a new cut from pop band Whoa Thunder.

The Blind Eyes were one of the most popular bands in St. Louis during their career, from 2007-2014. They fused ‘60s and ‘70s pop songwriting with a tightness and urgency inherited from first-wave punk. The band broke up in 2014, but decided to reunite for one more show in 2017, to benefit a cause personal to them.

This episode features two interviews with lead singer Seth Porter, one from just before the band's initial break-up, and another from just before their reunion show. Together, they show how being in a band means much more than what happens on-stage, and how the relationships formed from such an endeavor mean more than the music and good times.
