Two hundred beings descended from a mountain on the northern boundary of the Promised Land after swearing a collective oath of responsibility for what they were about to do. The mountain is named after that oath. Hermon. The root: charam. The ban. The sworn devotion. The mountain of the oath that launched the Genesis 6 event.   The Watchers descended. The Nephilim followed. The corruption accelerated. The Flood came. The Watchers went to Tartarus. The shedim roamed the wilderness. Azazel went to his pit. And Hermon remained.   Three days after standing at the Gates of Hades at Hermon's foot and declaring that those gates would not prevail against his Church, Jesus took three disciples to the summit of that same mountain.
