There's a lot of great love stories out there. Your parents or grandparents probably have a great love story, and you may have your own with your spouse or partner. While those are wonderful, sentimental stories, Pastor Jeff Maxwell shares a special Valentine's Day message about the greatest love story of all time.
In his first message as lead pastor, Pastor Jeff Maxwell looks to a prophetic scripture found in 2 Chronicles 26 to describe the church that God is raising up in the last days: a church filled with His Presence, a church waging war victoriously, a church totally in love with Jesus, and a church committed to doing the Lord's will and plan! Are you ready to be part of what God's going to do? When God is in it, there's NO LIMIT! Greater things are yet to come!
Bishop Guyton — You know we need more. A little sweet by-and-by, a little sermonette, two points, a poem, and then going home is not going to change our community, society, cities, state, nation, and the world. We need more, and the good news is: there is more to be had!
Bishop Guyton — Faith, hope, and love are fundamental to our Christian walk with God. But the greatest of these three is love. It's the greatest because the root of the other two is in love. We believe in what we love. We hope for what we love. Love is for our neighbor; love is for other people.
Bishop Guyton — None of us are worthy of God's love. You can't work hard enough, you can't pay enough, you can't do enough, and you can't be holy enough. We're not worthy, but it's called the agape love of God, which is the unconditional love of God. He loved us first. He loved us before we ever knew him and sent us the gift of his Son to be the sacrifice for our sins. Thank God for calvary, where the ultimate sacrifice was made that we could have life.
Bishop Guyton — There are family situations that need to be saved. Maybe it's become crazy. Maybe you've marked somebody off. Somebody's got to save that situation. You know it's you, and you're reluctant -- you're a reluctant hero. The Lord is saying to you, "There may have been neglect. A lot may have happened. But I'm calling you to save that situation. I'm calling you to save those people. I'm calling you."
In his special Mother's Day message, Bishop Guyton shares the message his mother shared with him and his three sisters when he was a little boy: Jesus is coming again!
