Earlier this year, on my birthday, I dedicated myself to supporting more small businesses. Businesses involving cultural food, organizations for those in need, LGBTQ+ and more. This was a no brainer for me, because though I have not had all the luxuries in this life yet, I find that this is a battle we are all fighting in reaching our own version of success. Jarrett Hobbs is a 41-year-old man who was brutally beaten and dehumanized in the Camden County jail holding cell. According to the New York Post, "Jail records show that Hobbs was charged with aggravated battery, simple assault and obstruction of law enforcement officers over the troubling Sept. 3 incident." Where is the accountability? Justice? Integrity. This happened OVER two months ago on September 3rd, which shows that there were nothing but ill intentions here. We must do better.

Episode 31!!! I started this podcast back in June of last year and we have only grown since! 

I hope you guys enjoyed this poem, I made it back in the summer time. One thing I would like to express from today's episode is accountability. Something we all need to learn as we grow older, is to be able to hold ourselves accountable for our own actions. It has been one of the toughest things for myself, especially when I was a teenager. I thought I knew it all! If things were going wrong in my life, this was due to the ones around me, instead of the true issue being myself. The biggest lesson that I had to learn was to quit pointing fingers and own up to where I went wrong in each situation.
