2 Kings 4, we find a woman who twice had a door shut in her face. The first time the door was shut, it was to giving birth to a child. After a visit from Elisha, the prophet, that door was opened. The second time the door was shut, was when the child she gave birth to suddenly died in her arms. However, she did not fret. She layed the boy on the Prophet's bed because she expected him to live.

Heraclitis once said, "No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." As the church and the unbeliever encounter God's prophetic stream, Paul informs us that it profits both of them.

Little Richard once proclaimed, "I love God, and I'm a follower." Many people claim to be followers of God, but what if we are more of a fan than a follower? Today's sermon helps us to define our relationship with God

In 1 Kings 17, the widow of Zarepath was faced with several dilemmas. Not only was she grieving the loss of her husband, but she was now forced to face that she and her son would die too. Too add on to her stress, God sends Elijah to the widow's residence to be sustained throughout the famine. Upon his arrival, asks for her to bring him water and bread. However, he soon discovers that the duo only have enough for one more meal before they die. Despite this the widow moves in faith knowing that her situation is now beyond her control.

The AA program has set up a process called "12 Steps" to get individuals on the road to recovery. The Twelve Steps are guiding principles that outline a course of action for tackling problems individuals face. Step one is to admit that you have a problem and that you are powerless over it. Step two is to acknowledge and believe that there is a greater power able to heal and restore you.

In Mark 5, we find a woman with an problem going through the first two steps of AA in pursuit of her deliverance.
