Today’s text demonstrates the importance and sufficiency of the Lord’s presence in our lives.

Moses was on the mountain with God, receiving the very words of God…while the people grew impatient below. In their impatience, they chose to worship a golden calf instead of the LORD who had saved them from slavery.

In this message, we continue our study of Moses’ life in Numbers 13 and 14. We discover that the gift of God is received by faith in God, whether the gift is a land flowing with milk and honey or eternal life.

In today’s text we see that redemption precedes requirement. God saves us and then our obedience is born out of a love for the Father and his Salvation. We are commanded to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

In today’s text we see Moses sharing about the Lord’s deliverance from Pharaoh and His provision for the Israelites in the wilderness. This passage also reminds us that Jesus is greater than Moses, as He is the mediator of our redemption.
