  • Restoring Fellowship with God

    We’ve heard that Jesus loves us and has called us friend (Jn 15:15a). In this message I explore the idea further. Why did God originally create man? What is the end goal of man’s salvation? Is the plan to take us back to the original relationship that was in the Garden of Eden? The Apostle Paul speaks of reconciliation between God and man. In 2 Corinthians 5:20 Paul says, “God has reconciled Himself to man, now man must reconcile himself to God.” What remains for man to reconcile himself to God? We will look at this important issue.

  • Love Revealed

    1 John 4:16 declares that God is Love. The very essence of who God is, is Love. Jesus came to show us the Father. To show us God’s Love for humanity. He demonstrated this incredible love by going to the cross on our behalf. When we talk about Amazing Grace, we should all kneel in amazement of God grace expressed in and through Jesus.

  • 2020 – What’s Your Vision?

    As the New Year begins, we begin to notice our friends and colleagues talking about New Years Resolutions, focus words and phrases; health goals; professional aspirations and more. As Christians, how do we reconcile planning for the future and yet letting God lead us daily? Get ready to let go of resolutions that fade into the past as the year continues and join me while we explore how we go about discerning God’s plan for our lives.

    Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23; Proverbs 16:3; Proverbs 21:5; Luke 14:28; Ecclesiastes 3:1-13;

  • The Pure in Heart are Free to Love

    As followers of Jesus, we are called to love each other, our neighbors and even our enemies. What does that love look like? How can we fully embrace even our worst enemies? What are the barriers that keep us from loving people with the unconditional love of God? What will it take for us to be set free from all the mechanisms of self-protection that prevent us from loving each other as our Heavenly Father loves us? As we enter a new year and search for a pastor to lead our church family, what is the vision that has emerged? I am delighted to tell you that my heart is rejoicing about the results of the recent survey we took asking you the question: “What would you like to see in a pastor?” In looking over the survey, the real question the elders were asking was, “What is our congregation passionate about?” Come with me on a journey to discover the answers to these questions and the vision that is emerging as our church family moves forward into ministry in the new year.

  • The Word Became Flesh

    One of the most endearing stories during the Christmas season is the visit by the 3 kings who were bearing gifts. (Mt. 2). However, the more powerful story is the one about the gifts that Jesus brought to man. Those gifts included the forgiveness of our sins and setting man right with God (justification), God sending His Holy Spirit to change us from our current sinful condition to the condition that man was in before his fall (sanctification), and finally in His return to take us home (glorification). God’s love for mankind is unmatched. When we behold Jesus, that love changes our life and our willingness to trust God completely. God will not force our will, but He will continue to call us and care for us to draw us unto Himself. Join me as we investigate God’s love and His plan for each of us, both now and for eternity.

  • SuperMe? Or SuperThankful?

    Do you know a SuperMommy? SuperMan? A SuperChristian? Those are the type of people we tend to only see their amazing outcomes and from that can grow an unhealthy desire to be someone or something we were not created to be. As we focus on gratitude this season, may I suggest that in order to truly experience gratitude, we need to unpack how these desires can hinder our attitude of gratitude?

    Scripture: James 1:13-15; Proverbs 31:10-31; Psalm 46:10; Psalm 10:4; Proverbs 13:10
