The Chosen “You are Mine” Painting

Take a look at the Nativity… What do you see? Mary, baby Jesus, donkey, sheep, shepherds, hay, Wisemen. Do you see anything else? In the corner to the side of Mary. Do you see “Him?” So often we run past Joseph on our way to the manger. He is all too often forgotten in the story of the incarnation. Join us this Sabbath as we take a long look at Joseph and come to know the man, God chose to be the earthly father of the Messiah.

Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25

“The Lost Story of Christmas: Joseph” preached by Pastor Don Bryan on December 11th, 2021 at the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, Washington

Jesus stated in John 14:12 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. So here is the question… Do you believe in Jesus? Are you prepared to do the works of Jesus?Join us on Sabbath as we look candidly into the face of our present reality and do an honest assessment of where we are and where we are headed.

This message will present five reasons God is love and how that love was demonstrated at the cross!  You will have a life changing encounter with Jesus and the power of the cross!  Don’t miss out!

Scripture: Romans 5:6-10

“Power of the Cross” preached by Nemaia Faletogo on November 26th, 2021 at the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, Washington

Jesus has called us to LOVE like Him, WALK like Him and WORK like Him. If we truly receive this injunction and surrender to His plan and receive the Holy Spirit, then all the things we read about Jesus doing, are acts of mercy we will be doing. Not for our fame, but as a means to point others to Jesus and His Father. As John Piper states “Christians are defined by works or life which flow from faith in Jesus and point to the glory of Jesus.”

Scripture: John 14:11-14, John 10:25, John 15:1-8

“Kids Youth Sabbath” preached by the Children Ministry Team on October 30th, 2021 at the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, Washington

Jesus was often accused of being a “Party Animal”! Really, the religious leaders thought he should fast and pray like them and Jesus wanted to be in relationship with the ones He came to save. Many times Jesus used dinners and feasts as metaphors for His kingdom. At the end of the book, Jesus invites us to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. What a party! Do you know that you have been invited to this special gathering? There is a seat at the table just for you.

Scripture: Luke 14:15-24, Matthew 22:1-14, Mark 2:13-17, Revelation 3:20, Revelation 19:6-9, Matthew 26: 26-29, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Did you know that the job description of being a disciple of Jesus is only two lines long? Bet you thought it was more complicated than that, huh? Come hear and be reminded of how simple Jesus makes it to know Him and make Him known.

Scripture: Luke 5:1-11
