A Texas Statehouse scandal forces Holly to suspend her campaign for office, abandon her Houston district, and hide out in remote Mountain Town while she waits for the dust to settle.

As she tries to rebuild her life and reputation, she discovers it’s impossible to leave the past in the past.

In part one of this two part story, Holly realizes there are real and fake people and how to decipher the difference. She questions her life’s trajectory and begins to discover what really makes her happy.
