Pastor Gary began serving in full-time ministry in 1987 as a High School Youth Pastor. In 1991 he was provided the opportunity to pastor a new, start-up church in Leesburg, VA, Cornerstone Chapel, and has been there ever since. Cornerstone is now home to several thousand worshipers, with Pastor Gary’s desire being to equip them through the teaching of God’s Word both relevantly and practically.
Pastor Gary received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in high school. After initially denying and wrestling with a call to ministry, and instead pursuing a communications degree at American University, he surrendered to the call his sophomore year. Pastor Gary changed schools, completed a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, and was ordained by Pastor Chuck Smith and the Calvary Chapel Association.
Pastor Gary has been married to his wife Terri since 1987 and they have three grown children and five grandchildren.
Located near the Nation’s Capital, Pastor Gary has had the privilege to meet and pray with Cabinet Secretaries, Supreme Court Justices, members of Congress, and the Israeli Ambassador. He also serves on the Advisory Board for The Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. and as the Chief Chaplain for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. His radio broadcast “Cornerstone Connection” can be heard weekdays across the country in 27 states and the District of Columbia.
