Pastor Erick Schuringa continues the “Deep Hope” series with a message entitled “Unity”. He will be looking at the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verses10-17.

Most every church has an extra name that tries to define what kind of church it is. The church that Jesus calls one is incredibly divided. With Deep Hope we can move forward toward reconciliation.

Pastor Erick Schuringa will continue the “Deep Hope” series with a message entitled “Deep Thanks”. He will be looking at 2 Corinthians 4 verses 7-18.

We continue our Deep Hope series by considering how we might deepen our gratitude. On the one hand, how do we take a posture of gratitude that goes beyond just the things that make us happy. On the other hand, how do we avoid downplaying our struggles because we think we should be thankful no matter what.

Pastor Erick Schuringa will continue the series entitled “Deep Hope” with a message entitled “Living Faith”. He will be looking at James 1:22-27; 2:14-19

We have often put so much emphasis on right beliefs that someone looking in might wonder if we were saved by knowing the right things.  James wants us to be clear that our faith is best seen in action.  Let's take some time to reflect on what our actions say about what we believe.

Pastoral Care Pastor Jolene Veenstra will continue the series entitled “Deep Hope” with a message called “God of the Deep”. She will be looking at Psalm 104: 1-12; 24-26.

When we say "deep hope" what kind of depth do we mean? Is this the deep end of the swimming pool or the depths of the Mariana Trench? What kind of depths would God's ancient people have imagined in biblical times, having never experienced a swimming pool and having no submarines to explore the depths of the ocean? The answer may surprise you. Go deep with us this Sunday.

Pastor Erick Schuringa will continues the series entitled “Deep Hope” with a message entitled “Be The Church”. He will be looking at the book of 1 Peter 2:4-10.

Our Deep Hope this week is that we can focus more on being the church than going to church. What does it look like to be living stones in a spiritual building? How are we all priests? Perhaps we have put too much emphasis on the worship service. Ironically it will be in a worship service that we consider these questions.

Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “Very Practical and Very Challenging”. He will be looking at the book of Romans chapter 12 verses 9 - 21.

The second half of Romans 12 tells us how to put love into practice. It has some clear options like being generous and hospitable. It also digs deep and calls us to respond to hurt with gentle kindness.

Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “Confidence”. He will be looking at the book of Romans chapter 8 verses 31-39 ES

I am convinced! Our faith is being sure of one thing: no matter what, God has got us. Our confidence can feel shaky in the face of challenges, but the heart of our faith is reminding ourselves that nothing will separate us from God's love.

Guest Pastor Zack DeBruyne will present a message entitled “Rest for the Hurry-Sick Soul”. He will be looking at Exodus 31: 12-17.

We are constantly hurrying; long lists of to-dos are magnetized to our fridges. But what does Jesus model for us in our hurry-sick society today? How does the Biblical command of Sabbath reshape how we should engage in our hurry-filled world?

Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “The Spirit and Love in Action”. He will be looking at the book of Romans 8, chapter 8, verses 1-17 and 1 John chapter 4, verses 7-21.

Paul in Romans and John in his letter write with very different words and style. However, the message is consistent. Paul's Spirit language parallels John's Love language. Both give life and drive out fear. We will unpack and apply this on Sunday morning.

Pastor Brady DeBoer will present a message entitled “Foreshadowing the Gospel”. He will be looking at the book of Genesis chapter 15.

Pastor Brady walks us through one of the most unique passages in the Bible and shows how it points forward to the goodness of Jesus.
