Originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia, Kiana “Kiki” Smith has been dancing since the age of 3, and is trained in styles such as: Hip Hop, Locking, Popping, House, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, and Burlesque. Kiana was also a competitive gymnast and a classically trained singer for 8 years. After graduating at only 16 years old, Kiana moved to Toronto, first studying at Randolph Academy, where she got a Bachelor in Musical Theatre. Kiana is represents the Hip Hop crew ‘Footnotes Elite’, ran by Andrew “Pyro” Chung and Mariano “Glizzi”, and co-founded her all-female crew, 'House of Hunniez'. Just some of Kiki’s credits include: a World Tour with YouTube sensation Lilly Singh; dancing with Rihanna, Drake, Machel Montano and more; a Quebec Tour performing in Just For Laugh’s ‘Footloose’ the Musical, joining the Cirque du Soleil roster, and was a selected Monsters 2019 cast member! In addition to stage performances, she has also worked on numerous movie and TV show sets with Nickelodeon, Disney, CBC, and Netflix. Some highlights include “Zapped” (Disney), “Jinxed” (Nickelodeon), “Grand Army” (Netflix), ”Tall Boyz” (CBC), “Work It” (Netflix), “Spin” (Disney), “Sneakerella” (Disney), and soon go be released, “Zombies 3” (Disney). Kiana is also a seasoned and passionate teacher and choreographer. Whether at the private elementary school, in a dance studio, or on set with an artist, she has taught and choreographed for music videos, artists, studios, and companies coast-to-coast across Canada, and has judged many competitions not only across Canada, but also internationally with Hip Hop International. In addition to performing and teaching, Kiana is also an entrepreneur and business owner. She is the CEO and owner of Dance At Home and Save The First Dance. Her first body of work, Dance At Home, is an online dance class platform, primarily focused on kids. She believes in keeping the dance knowledge and culture alive and passing it on to the next generation. Her more recent development, Save The First Dance, is a Wedding Entertainment Company, which specializes in choreographing First Dances and coordinating entertainment for Weddings and Corporate Events. Her most recent hat she's been wearing is her event planner hat. Kiana is the creator of the newest dance event in Toronto, UNITE Dance Showcase: a showcase made to bring all generations, genres and scenes of the industry together. To support and celebrate all aspects of this widely diverse industry, and create opportunities for artists to collaborate with other great minds.
