Most organizations have large and complex change management strategies to navigate the necessary innovations and challenges in today's world. But, none of that matters much if individuals don't work on their own thinking. Let's start talking about looking at our own brain each time we have an opportunity to make a decision. I'll share just one example in this episode and plan to delve into this topic more as we journey through finding our best work together.
Every tenth episode seems like a great place to respond to the feedback, questions, and thoughts that get shared along the journey. You are a great support and this is one way to acknowledge your inputs.
With all the talk about moving your desk, I figured it was time to share one way I've moved my desk recently. Sometimes moving your desk is simply making a few mental shifts. In other seasons, it requires overhauling your life. The point is to keep working at it.

Want to start a podcast? The Internet has all the answers. Or, does it? Often we turn to a friend or co-worker to help us get started on something new. A few people have asked me how I create my podcast. After a few requests, I realized I might as well share a podcast about my podcast. It's just one way to do it. Hopefully there is a tip or an inspiration that will help you get started!
If you look back on key moments in your life, it wasn't just that moment that mattered. Take some time to reverse engineer some of the steps that led you there. You just might find a sequence of nudges. And, you can be sure that more nudge sequences are in your future.
It's Halloween and a perfect time to share the work of pivotal nudger Anthony Rotolo. He's the creator of three different podcasts and one of them is focused on bringing icons of tv terror to the forefront of memory ...for those that love the genre. Check out his podcasts and learn why he is a pivotal nudger.
Sometimes we can learn a lot from sitting and observing the world. But, don't observe too long. Our minds have a great way of creating a lot of thoughts when we observe. Some of those thoughts may be incorrect while others prevent us from engaging with those around us in ways that mutually benefit. Step out of your costume and take off the mask once in a while and see what happens.
Are you taking care of yourself? Respecting your own boundaries and space, especially the time you need to re-charge or re-focus? A fun little moment with Tiny Person reminded me to stand up for myself to protect my space.
