Award-winning director/screenwriter Rolfe Kanefsky visits Movie Addict Headquarters to discuss “1 in theGun,” his neo-noir thriller scheduled for DVD release on November 8. Kanefsky has written and directed 15 feature films, including “Pretty Cool,” “Dead Scared,” and “There’s Nothing Out There.” He earned a top screenplay award at the L.A. Shriekfest competition and was the subject of a featured cover story for Hollywood Scriptwriter magazine. Kanefsky’s features have been selected and won multiple awards at various prestigious film festivals.

 

Producer Esther Goodstein, who plays a small but important role in Kanefsky's 1 in the Gun, also joins in the lively discussion.

Horror expert A. J. Hakari, aka The Mad Movie Man, drops by to share his picks for the Best Horror Films of 2011. Hakari has contributed film commentary to various outlets including Terror Tube, ReelTalk Movie Reviews, Classic Movie Guide and Review Express. He is currently writing an in-depth book about the horror genre.

Stephen Schochet, author of "Hollywood Stories," drops by to celebrate the 45th Anniversay of "Star Trek." Stephen promises to entertain listeners with revealing anecdotes about the popular film franchise and iconic TV series. Morgan Lawrence, author of "The Streets Ran Red," is the guest co-host for this special episode.

Barry Bostwick talks about his experience as a key cast member in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."  Barry portrayed "Brad" in this 1975 horror/musical that became a cult film. He has  also appeared in many movies and television productions, including "Movie, Movie," " Hannah Montana: The Movie," "Spin City," "George Washington," and "Megaforce."  Among his  stage credits are  "Grease" (in which he originated the role John Travolta played in the movie version) and "The Robber Bridegroom."

Actor Tim Griffin discusses his work on "Abduction,"  an action  thriller starring Taylor Lautner, and on "Prime Suspect,"  the new televsion series starring Maria Bello.

 

Griffin has also appeared in such films as "Iron Man," Cloverfield," "Leatherheads," "The Bourne Supremacy," "Star Trek," and "The Men Who Stare at Goats."  His additional television credits include "Grey's Anatomy," "General Hospital," "Taking a Stand," "China Beach," and "Party of Five."

Actress Ziah Colón, one of the stars of "Footloose," discusses her work in the highly-anticipated revamp of that 1984 film. Ziah plays "Rusty," the role portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker in the original movie. Ziah has also appeared on television in "Army Wives" and "Drop Dead, Diva."

A 70th Anniversary “Citizen Kane” DVD became available on September 13th of this year.
