We've seen Deadpool be almost everything... here he shows us a softer side of himself. Is that what you expect? Probably not, all the more reason to check it out. 

Original Review:

Deadpool has always been a character that exists to break the 4th wall first and foremost, but also because he is existentially over the top at all times. Here, in an effort to reach a different demographic he self narrates (with the help of Fred Savage) Deadpool 2 in a PG-13 way. There are no F-bombs, but there are a LOT of F-bleeps. All the while, Deadpool and Fred Savage are back in a reminiscent scene from the Princess Bride. Now this story is still Deadpool 2 which may take some viewers by surprise but it tones down a lot of what makes Deadpool... well Deadpool. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's family-friendly, but it's at least safer for a younger audience (13+). At the same time, while it is toned down, the existential content that makes Deadpool what he is is toned down as well. The humor that happens during narration helps, but it definitely loses some of the magic. Those who go to see Deadpool for the over the top behaviour may find themselves wondering what happened. Those going to see Deadpool out of his element will enjoy it simply for what it is.

Make sure to stay into and through the credits for 3 Deadpool bonus scenes, then stay beyond all of that for a special Stan Lee bonus at the very end (You'll want to bring your tissues).

Our favorite foul-mouthed superhero is back. This time his focus is the F word... It may not be the F word you're thinking of though. Now don't get me wrong, there are plenty of F-bombs throughout the movie but c'mon... it's Deadpool, would you really expect anything less? Wade and Vanessa make plans to do something and before they can, something happens that changes the entire story for them. Now Wade just wants it to end but his mutant abilities won't allow that to happen. Try as he may, he seems to have a purpose that he can't figure out. With the help of some friends, he will find his purpose even if that means a LOT of sacrifices along the way. To make matters harder, Cable, a super ??? is trying to impede the process to intervene for the future. This story piggybacks well off of the first movie. I must reiterate that this is NOT for kids, this is not a family-friendly story, it's an absolutely hilarious story that is so wrong for all of the right reasons. Coming into this expecting anything less than the profanity and violence that you witness on screen is a disservice to the movie and yourself. So come at your own risk and be prepared for everything that is existentially Deadpool!

Deadpool is a characterﾠunlike anything you've ever seen before... If you're expecting to see a typical super hero type story then you're probably in the wrong movie. This is a love story, you're probably thinking "WHAT???" but I'm serious. It's not all lovey dovey and butterflies but there are unicorns. I'm probably confusing you even further, this is definitely not the typical hero movie but it is one of the funniest comedies that has been released in the last decade. Now saying that, the comedy that is in here will not appeal to all, most of it is adult based (what am I saying... It's all adult based). There is blood and gore, nudity, and strong language, so if that offends you, you might want to sit this one out. Though if you are one who can appreciate this off the wall version of Marvel (whether or not you've read the comics), then be prepared to laugh until you can't breathe. All because a man that was out of options saw an opportunity and became more than he could have ever imagined. In the midst of this comedic tale lies something special that will leave you craving more. Make sure and stay through the credits for some special surprises... A story that is to be enjoyed in all of its depravity, that is as timeless as it is funny. Come experience it for yourself, just be prepared for the content.
