A miraculous story of survival in the truest sense.

You can have faith without hope but you can't have hope without faith. One man is about to learn this the hard way. Don thinks he knows where he stands in life. He's a successful pastor, husband, and father... his life is exactly how he pictured it. All that is about to change, on his way home from a conference... An accident changes his life forever. He is pronounced dead at the scene and is just waiting to be transferred to the morgue. That is until another local pastor comes across the scene (not knowing who was involved) and wanted to know if he could pray for the victims. Whilst praying for Don, something happened. Don was alive! What he had experienced though would change his life and his world. He had been in Heaven, surrounded by loved ones and completely at peace... So why was he brought back? That's something he'll have to learn as he goes through an excruciating recovery process. His body has been destroyed, he has lost his will to live and he is truly lost. Most of these stories spend more time preaching about how faith should be approached or what should / should not be done. This one is different. We get to see this man, go through the unthinkable, a devastating injury that has changed him physically and emotionally. Through this journey, we are able to see the high and low points in his life. With that, we also see what it takes to bring him back to the husband and father that his family needs him to be. He'll never be the same man that he was but he just might be something greater. John is gone. His legacy lives on through Jill and through his survivors.  There's even a support group for the few who have survived.  What's missing here? There are a few things.  One of the survivors... isn't. As this person capitalizes on the sheer horror of the ordeal, someone else has decided enough is enough.  When we last "saw" Jill, she was carrying out John's last wish, it didn't go as planned.  Now there's a duality to this story, two stories that are separate but connected.  When it's done,  an homage to the beginning of the franchise pulls all the pieces together one last time.  It looks like this could really be the end... or is it

The Shark's Fin is a climb that many have attempted but few have actually conquered the nearly impossible feat. This is the story of a group of climbers that attempted this climb, knowing the risks involved and pushing through the difficulties. The closer the summit gets, the more difficult the challenges become. Each one facing his own mortality as they attempt the impossible. Even knowing what's ahead, they continually push forward. Knowing that conquering this peak has eluded all that have attempted it won't stop this group of explorers. Even if they end up paying the ultimate price, they'll have done what no one else has. An adrenaline filled, emotionally challenging drama/documentary that is not for the faint of heart. The challenges that they face are presented in all their raw detail. Including some very graphic images and video from injuries that were sustained. This is to be enjoyed as what it is, watching others do what few dare to. Marc-Andre was exceptional, only the world had a hard time seeing it because he didn't fit the mold. He not only recreated the mold but he changed the world, the climbing world that is. Come along on this adventure.

Marc-Andre was the perfect example of a truly individual individual. Even at an early age, he never conformed to what others expected of him. Thankfully, he had someone who understood him even when the world didn't. His mother recognized that he was truly unique and helped guide him towards his dreams. These dreams took him all over the world. He was truly free when he was climbing. A white-hot fire burned within him that he continually kept going with taking on new adventures, new routes, and new peaks. He chased the intensity of the experiences. In that, he would look for other ways to match that intensity... but nothing compared to the rush he got while climbing. The only thing that could come close to matching it was the love that he shared with Brette. Their passion was shared on and off the mountains. Some of the adventures may have led them on different paths but they always found their way back to one another. That is until one fateful day in Alaska. Marc-Andre and a close friend of his decided to climb the Mendenhall Towers. After successfully completing the trek, they rejoiced in their success. What would occur on their return home would take the climbing world by surprise. This whole story is about celebrating Marc-Andre and his love of life. Though challenging at times to complete, it tells a story of passion in ways that few are able to express.

Those sensitive to vertigo may have issues with some of the footage that was captured firsthand on their adventures. It's a powerful story and even more stunning than you can imagine. Some of the subjects touched on and some of the content might not suit all audiences but it's a journey that must be experienced to be understood.
