In this episode, John is joined by Stewart and Smith from the It Doesn’t Hold Up Podcast to dive deep into the 1997 teen slasher I Know What You Did Last Summer! Was it a chilling thrill ride that defined late-'90s horror, or just another Scream knockoff riding the wave? We break down the cast, the suspense, the iconic hook-wielding killer, and the film's lasting legacy in the horror genre.

Starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Ryan Phillippe — this flick had all the makings of a cult classic. But does it still hold up today?

Join us as we break down the plot, behind-the-scenes chaos, and the legacy this film left behind in superhero cinema. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more deep dives into classic (and not-so-classic) movies!

Join independent director Christopher Lee Powell, the Pic a Flic Podcast, and John as they review The Studio—a show that is exactly my ish. So much so, in fact, that I started to wonder if it was too tailored to me. Like… who else is this show even for?

That got me thinking about ART and approachability, IP and narrowing focus, auteur filmmakers and four-quadrant films, movie stars and influencers, the day-in and day-out of filmmaking—above and below the line—studio executives… and, well, it got me thinking about The Movies.

So thank you, The Studio.

Thank you, Seth Rogen.

Thank you, Apple TV+.

And thank you to everyone involved.
