Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  Ani-May month concludes with my sister's mandated movie: Grave of the Fireflies, an anime about a pair of young, sibling war orphans doing what they can to survive in war-ravaged Japan back in 1945.  No gravity-defying hairstyles.  No giant robots.  No tentacle monsters.  Just the hilarious misadventures of two innocent children slowly starving to death in squalor and misery.

It's an animated treat for the entire family!
