It’s our most x-rated episode yet! This week, Movie Mixology makes the XYZ cocktail inspired by 2002’s “xXx.” Joined by special guest Riggs Brown, the hosts chat about video games, vlogging, and Vin Diesel’s catchy one-liners. Plus, Pat and Marissa make a special announcement you won’t want to miss. So, sit back (or, snowboard down a mountain) as you stream this week’s Xander-zone episode!
XANDER: "You don't have shit on me."
GIBBONS: "I notice you have three Xs tattooed on the back of your neck. I think that's rather appropriate since you're looking at three-strikes. Grand theft auto, reckless endangerment, and that little bridge stunt of yours...makes you a three-time loser. Maybe you oughta call yourself 'Triple-X." But if you do what I want, I'll make all your little recent criminal transgressions go away and let you get back to that pathetic excuse of a life."
XANDER: "I think maybe I should be like you...get all shot up for those stars and stripes."
XYZ recipe
1.5oz of white rum (traditional) or spiced rum works just fine
1oz lemon juice
1oz triple-sec or orange liqueur
Lemon peel for garnish (optional)
Add rum, lemon juice and triple sec to a shaker with ice and shake
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Optionally garnish with a lemon peel

This week’s episode of Movie Mixology features three different battles. Vampires vs. Lycans. Critics vs. Fans. Marissa vs. Patrick. Just kidding about that last one. Or, are we? Tune in as Patrick and Marissa drink The Ultimate Bloody Mary inspired by 2003's “Underworld.” The hosts agree that the vampire outfits are killer, but will they concur that the movie’s special effects have stood the test of time? SINGE: "Even at the cellular level, our species seemed destined to destroy each other. That is, until we found Michael. The Corvinus strain allows for a perfect union. A triple-celled platelet...which holds unspeakable power."
VIKTOR: "There can be no such union. And to speak of it is heresy".
SINGE: "We'll see...Once Lucian has injected himself with Michael's blood."
VIKTOR: [whispering] "Lucian is dead."
SINGE: [smirking] "According to whom?"

"Beer is for breakfast around here, drink or be gone." This week, Pat and Marissa watch a movie about working man aristocrats, Jamaican waterfalls, and get-rich-quick schemes. The movie is 1988’s “Cocktail” and the drink is tomato flavored beer (a.k.a. the “Red Eye”). Listen on to hear these hosts discuss just how much Tom Cruise’s character is addicted to love, slam poetry, and never learning from one’s mistakes.
FLANNIGAN: "Coughlin's Law?"
COUGHLIN: "Douglas Coughlin, logical negativist. Flourished in the last part of the 20th century. Propounded at set of laws that the world generally ignored...to its detriment. Me. Ever work behind the bar?"

SALLY: "Why? Most women, at one time or another, have faked it."
HARRY: "Well, they haven't faked it with me."
SALLY: "How do you know?"
HARRY: "Because I know."
Sally stares, then smirks and grabs a nearby napkin.
SALLY: "That's right. I forgot. You're a man."
HARRY: "What is that supposed to mean?"
SALLY: "Nothing. It's just that all men are sure it never happens to them and most women at one time or another have done it, so you do the math."

This week, @momixpod mixes The Queen Elizabeth Cocktail, inspired by 2008’s "Quantum of Solace." While the hosts point out that Casino Royale’s sequel is anything but classy, they certainly agree that Dame Judi Dench is the true royal inspiration behind this week’s episode. As they sip their tart drinks, Pat and Marissa discuss why Quantum sticks out as a disappointing moment in an otherwise exceptional Craig-era run. Will the hosts ever be able to put their bitter feelings and comparisons to Casino Royale aside? Will their biases allow them to give Quantum a fair shake? Listen on to find out!
BOND: "You know, I was just wondering what South America would be like if no one gave a damn about coke or communism. It's always impressed me the way you boys have carved this place up."
FELIX: "I'll take that as a compliment coming from a Brit."
Leiter takes a swig of the cheap beer the bartender has laid in front of him.
BOND: "Are you sure you're playing with the right side?"
FELIX: "Regimes change once a week down here. Medrano'll be no dirtier than the next guy."
Queen Elizabeth recipe:

Longing to get away? Travel to wine country with Pat and Marissa on this week’s episode of Movie Mixology! They clink and drink.
JACK: “Man! That's tasty.”
MILES: “That’s 100% Pinot Noir. Single vineyard. They don't even make it anymore.”
JACK: “Pinot Noir?”
MILES: [Drinking and driving]: “Mm-hmm.”
JACK: “Then how come it's white?”
MILES: “Oh Jesus. Don't ask questions like that up in wine country. They'll think you're some kind of dumbshit.”
Pinot Noir recipe:
1. Buy a bottle at your local grocery or liquor store
2. Uncork and let breathe
3. Pour and enjoy!
