The Bible and A Course in Miracles both emphasize that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord. This applies to perception and relationships, as they all have the same purpose and are purposeful. Jesus calls every relationship maximal in terms of teaching and learning.

The Course explains that teachers of God have no set teaching level. Still, each teaching-learning situation involves different relationships with the ultimate goal of making the relationship holy. The third level of teaching occurs in lifelong relationships, where each person is given a chosen learning partner who presents unlimited learning opportunities. These relationships are generally few because they involve a perfect teaching-learning balance.
