Growing up in the 1980s, my brother had a small collection of horror movies on VHS. It was like a treasure trove of forbidden fruit.

I ramble and reminisce about those golden years of enjoying hidden joy.

In this episode I went with a classic, all-time favorite movie... The Goonies.

I realize it's not a movie for everyone, however, it is everything for me.

This movie always takes me back to my childhood.

So I rambled on about the movie with a slight review, it is 39 years old... sheesh, I feel old now.

The 2 movies have similar themes and story beats.

Clearly one was influenced by the other.

I have a brief discussion about the iconic movie Back to the Future.

I give bits of trivia, talk about how I feel it's a movie that came out at the exact right time, with the perfect cast.

The entire movie is like capturing lightning in a bottle.

It's all subjective, we all have different life experiences.

So many movies can be viewed as awful and yet be entertaining to watch. I give a discussion and a small list of movies that fit in this category.

These movies don't appeal to everyone, but those that get it. Love it.

A look at those movies that harness the setting of winter weather or locations that are known for their snowy landscapes.

I touch upon only a small number of those my movies that left the impact upon me.

I did miss a few, because as I typed this, I realized I forgot to mention "30 Days of Night" and many others.

I did try to avoid those movies that also have Christmas as theme.

My Top Ten Horror Movies of 2023.

These were the movies that highlighted the year for me with horror. I rambled a little longer than anticipated, but still tried to keep it short.
