The movie follows the story of Obalola, a young boy who steals a bag from a woman in traffic and attracts the attention of Nino, a gang leader who becomes his mentor and father figure. Nino wants Obalola to go to school and become great in life, but his dreams are shattered when he dies.
Obalola and his friends Ify and Gift then join forces with Kazeem, Nino’s partner who is greedy and ruthless. Kazeem murders a gang member and blames it on Ify, leading to Ify’s death. Obalola seeks revenge on Kazeem and uncovers more dark secrets that spark a bloodbath in Isale Eko.
The movie is the first Amazon Original Movie from Africa and marks the start of a three-year partnership between Amazon Prime Video and Jade Osiberu’s production company. The movie aims to deliver local and authentic African stories to the global audience.
