Here is our review of EDDIE MURPHY'S "COMING TO AMERICA 2" - The Sequel to Coming to America! First and foremost, I have to admit that I am an Eddie Murphy fan from back in the day so my movie review was a bit biased, but what can I say. As for Mrs. B., she finally gave it a THUMBS UP after going through the plot, understanding that most of the jokes and story line were connected to the first movie. In this movie, you get to see Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, John Amos, Wesley Snipes, Tracey Morgan, Eddie Murphy's real-life daughter, and many other famous actors and actresses from the original movie. There was also a special appearance of John Legend! So if you want to have a fun-filled, BABY-BOOMER laughs, check out our movie review of COMING TO AMERICA 2!

It is "RUBY BRIDGES" - a 1987 Disney TV movie which aired on NBC featuring Michael Beach and Lela Rochon as the father and mother to Ruby Bridges played by Chaz Monet along with Kevin Pollak (Psychiatrist) and Penelope Ann Miller as the teacher. This was an ACTUAL event that happened in New Orleans in 1960 in which young Ruby Bridges started the desegregation of public schools in this community. Dr. B. and Mrs. B. dive DEEP into the racial conflict and racial reconciliation which occurred during this time period and how this young girl managed to overcome all the CHALLENGES presented to her as she achieved her right to get an education in the public school system. This movie review is also a great opportunity to have a serious discussion with your family members, friends, and younger generation on how our society was in the 1960s and how much our society has IMPROVED over time.
