NOBODY WANTS THIS is a romantic comedy series on Netflix. It tells the story of Joanne and Noah, who are both unlucky in love. In the first three episodes, Joanne hosts a podcast discussing her dating woes. Meanwhile, Noah is a rabbi who just broke up with his longtime girlfriend. The pair meet by chance and immediately click. However, Noah struggles with his family and congregation’s opposition to the relationship, because Joanne isn’t Jewish.

STAR WARS: YOUNG JEDI ADVENTURES is an action adventure preschool series on Disney+. Set 200 years before the original STAR WARS, the program follows three child apprentices training to become Jedi Knights. Led by Master Yoda, the three students help citizens from across the galaxy and learn what it means to be a force for good. In the first three episodes of Season Two, the trio and their friends are faced with stopping dangerous pirates from stealing spaceships and parts, doing research on an unique creature, keeping peace and order, and completing perilous assignments.

The first three episodes of Hallmark’s THE CHICKEN SISTERS highlight the impact a 100-year-old feud has on a small town. After Amabnda marries the heir to her family’s rival chicken shop, her mother disowns her. Some years later, Amanda seeks to revitalize both businesses by landing a spot on the Reality TV program show KITCHEN CLASH. The winning business receives a prize of $100,000. The relationship between both family businesses initially begins to improve because of the program. However, the program’s host sows seeds of chaos to make great TV. This reognites tensions between the two sides.

MERMAID MAGIC is an animated fantasy series on Netflix. The first three episodes follow Princess Merlinda, her personal guard, Nerissa, and their friend, Sasha. They secretly journey to the human world to look for some magic pearls. Merlinda needs the pearls to save her father’s life and protect the kingdom of Mertropia. The kingdom is under attack by an evil immortal pirate. He wants to steal the kingdom’s mermaid magic. The mermaids make friends with Tyler and his sister, Celia. In tracking down the pearls, they learn about humanity while fighting off the pirate’s sea monsters.

THE WINGFEATHER SAGA is an animated fantasy adventure on Angel Studios. The program follows the Igiby family’s quest against a regime of evil lizards. In the second half of Season Two, Janner Igiby and his family seek refuge in the Ice Prairies. During a failed escape attempt, Janner and his younger brother, Tink, are captured by human mercenaries. Tink is sent to be magically transformed into a lizard soldier. Meanwhile, Janner must escape from an awful child labor factory to rejoin their family.

Episode Five of RINGS OF POWER: Season Two, on Amazon Prime, depicts the demonic villain Sauron, posing as an elf named Annatar, fooling Lord Celemnribor. As Annatar, Sauron deceitfully works to overcome Lord Celebrimbor’s objections to making nine rings of power for men. Meanwhile, the new king of Númenor cracks down on his political opponents, who have faith in the God of Middle Earth and His angels. Also, Durin the dwarf is worried his father, the king, has become extremely greedy ever since he started wielding a ring of power. Finally, an orc army marches on the elf city Celebrimbor is supposed to be ruling, instead of using his time making “rings of power.”

Season 11 of COCOMELON is a colorful animated series on Netflix featuring multiple music videos of children’s songs. In one clip, the family plays together at the beach. Later, the children participate in a stage play. Later, the children play together at school, teaching each other patience and encouraging one another. In “Star Light Star Bright,” the children wish on a star. Later, the children look at the stars with a telescope. They sing “Twinkle Little Star” while using their imaginations to find different shapes in the sky. In another part of the program, JJ and Cody bathe together. Cody offers his toys to JJ and shares snacks with him. The final song shows parents lovingly tucking their children into bed, celebrating the traditional family.

TUTTLE TWINS is an animated educational comedy series on Angel Studios. The program follows Emily and Ethan Tuttle, two quirky grade schoolers who discover traditional American values of hard work, freedom and critical thinking. In Episode 1 of Season 3, “The College Conundrum,” Emily and Ethan Tuttle question the viability of pursuing a college education. Episode 2, “Fighting for Fatherhood,” features the twins discovering the school bully lives with his single mother. In Episode 3, “Cracking Conspiracies,” a school trip to the park is canceled under “shady circumstances.” The twins investigate and learn critical thinking skills.

CHAMPIONS OF THE GOLDEN VALLEY is a captivating documentary. It tells the story of a young man named Alishah. He becomes a skier from his remote Afghan village high in the mountains. He tries and fails to get into the Olympics as the first Afghan skier. Then, he returns to his remote village to start a ski race and teach many children how to ski. Very good athletes from different villages join the race. Soon, girls, who aren’t supposed to do sports in Islam, start racing. The competitions produce friendships and the hope they can change Afghanistan from a country of war to a country of peace.

AMERICANS WITH NO ADDRESS is a well thought out, superbly executed, inspirational documentary that explores the homeless crisis in the United States. Despite increases in homelessness in recent years, government funding to reduce the number has increased by three times in the last 12 years. Clearly, government has failed to solve the problem. The filmmakers interviews dozens of people, including experts, government officials, homeless people, doctors, and charity workers. Many argue that government initiatives make the problem worse. The movie shows how nonprofit groups have banded together to fill the gap.
