The Oscars just wrapped up and we discuss all the winners and losers.

The last Oscar film we review and both Scott and I watched it together. That was probably the best part.

We review The Irishman and discuss everything that they did right and wrong. Is the CGI to make everyone look young distracting? Is it too long? How does it compare to other Scorsese films?

Scott has never been into war films even though he liked Hacksaw Ridge. As good as that was, 1917 is an incredible piece of film making. Everything from the score to the cinematic landscapes. Scott didn't feel the same way.

JoJo Rabbit is funny, dramatic, tense and heartwarming. It really does have it all and we're happy it's being recognized. We look forward to everything Taika Waititi has up his sleeve next.

Little Women has been made no less than 20 times over the years in the form of movies, TV miniseries, silent film, Broadway and even Japanese Anime. It's an extremely well made film even though in the end it wasn’t for us.

While neither of us are very big into cars or car films, this one did have something to bring to the table. Other than that, we have no idea why it's nominated for Best Picture. Good but formulaic.

The director said that if you can get past the one inch barrier of the subtitle you will be introduced to so many good films. One of the best films not only of this year but in a long time. We'd be elated if this won Best Picture.

Joker is a film that reaches masterpiece levels. From Joaquin Phoenix's surefire win for Best Actor to a very big possibility of a Best Picture win. We're all for what pisses people off. It would deserve the win.

Will Quentin Tarantino finally win Best Picture or even Best Director for Once Upon An Time In Hollywood? Whether he does or not, it's a solid film and worth watching.
