Spirituality Made Simple – Tomás Garza
Do you think you don’t have enough time to meditate? Is the idea of spirituality beyond your scope of appreciation? Think again. Tomás has been meditating since he was a teen. He learned how in geometry class. He continued the practice for the rest of his life and discovered he was a spiritual person. As are all of us. He teaches a class called A Course in Miracles – Awakening to Love in which he coaches meditation. It turns out you can benefit from meditation by focusing on one breath cycle. So it doesn’t take very long. However, most of us need practice and a little more time, like five to fifteen minutes. This podcast presents simple concepts but is extremely enlightening. He has written a book called Decide about limiting stories we tell ourselves. (Watch that self-talk!)

Wow! If you recognize that you are possibly not living your true self, maybe you don’t know yet who that true self is. Hint, most of us don’t know who our true self is. We know a little bit here and there but trust me there is more to learn. This podcast is chock-full of wisdom. Remember when Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is within”. The answers we are always searching for can be found within ourselves. Roberts says we just don’t know how to access them. You don’t want to miss this podcast. It is a very intriguing and educational experience. Learn how we are conditioned from childhood to adulthood and most of us lean on that conditioning instead of listening to our inner self.

Allison has been passionate about nutrition and fitness her whole life having struggled with her weight in her youth. She would cover up with a T-shirt to swim because she didn’t want to expose her body. This also caused major self-confidence problems. Once she got a handle on sound nutrition, she ended up competing in a figure/bodybuilding competition and discovered she loved it. Why? You ask. The result of preparing and performing on stage resulted in an exponential boost in her self-confidence. The “new” mind spilled over in all aspects of her life. Now she loves helping working moms learn what she learned. How to juggle all the things that go on in a working mom’s life, and still reach your goal weight and maintain it. She has a book on Amazon: Flab to Fab in Eight Weeks – The busy mom’s guide to getting lean and healthy.

Lauren has a most interesting story having grown up with the label ADD or ADHD. Nowadays the condition falls on the autistic spectrum. In days gone by this population was not expected to succeed at anything. Well, actually not just days gone by. The label still carries negative attitudes. Not so with Lauren. After receiving numerous speeding tickets, she lost her license and was required to take a course in time management. This was when she began organizing for doctors. She discovered she wanted something more in life and contemplated going into the military. But four different friends on separate occasions convinced her that she should be a professional organizer. She tried it thinking that it would make for an interesting “side” gig. No one was as surprised as her when in less than a year she needed and now has a team of five. Listen to her ideas on how to declutter and clarify your life. Hear some of the thank yous she has gotten from clients. Not only does she straighten up closets and garages, but she also helps straighten up mental chaos. Lauren has some truly liberating ideas. Her life is a testimony of that fact.

He likes the idea of helping people believe “they can do it!” He watched his dad become successful in his insurance business by talking to people and getting them excited. Currently, Matthew owns his own business called Colorado Junk Removal. He’s a very positive guy who if he reads a Facebook post of someone who is having problems he will invite them to contact him so he can help even though he doesn’t know them. One of four kids, John’s family immigrated to Canada from Vietnam. Hard work was what they knew and was their normal. It was probably what made him such a strong, energetic, determined guy from his youth. He started in sales with a paper route. He studied business finance in college with one year as an exchange student in England. For ten years he sold ads for Yellow Pages. It allowed him to build relationships with many small-medium business owners. He learned that there is not much return on investment with printed ads. He knew early on that his purpose was to take care of others by adding value. So he decided to help small-medium businesses dominate their niche markets in their local environments by digital advertising of which he knew nothing. He had to learn SEO and how to get a business to show up on Google’s first search page. He has built his own successful business by helping others to be successful. An all-around win-win situation.
