* Performing repetitive calculations,
* Receiving, processing, and storing data,
* Electronically scanning or extracting data from a physical document,
* Electronic recordkeeping,
* Automating mental tasks, and
* Receiving or transmitting data over a network, e.g., using the Internet to gather data.
