CAGDU stands for Capital Area Dog Guide Users.  We are located in the nation’s capital-- Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia but the information we share is for dog guide users everywhere. It is important to have discussions and give people your expectations, but it seems that National NAACP President Derrick Johnson triggered disgust in Vice-President Elect Joe Biden during a recent meeting when he implied that the Black Community was getting uneasy with what we are seeing with his present cabinet picks, etc. Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris and seven other civil rights leaders were also participants in the meeting.  Depending upon who you talk to, the word is Biden was condescending toward the civil rights leaders in the room. Tonight the Gatewood Brothers ask the question; "Are we ready for the Transition?" There are several (Black) people who still say after serving eight years as POTUS, "Obama didn't do anything for me."  There will be even greater disappointment with the transition from Trump to Biden if we don't get in the game. There wil be a transtitioning of policies, but with that, the community must have a transitioning in thought and actions to reap the benefits of the change.
