The Uncharted movie trailer was just announced, "A Quiet Place" is getting a video game series, and last-gen games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 are getting their next-gen releases delayed. Matt and I discuss all of this and more on this week's episode of Mr. Game Boy!
This week, Matt Travia and I discuss Michelangelo being banned from Super Smash Con, the absurd pricing of the new Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, the contract negotiations between EA Sports and FIFA about the exclusive rights to the name FIFA, and we go over the awful conditions that are placed on reviewers who have to try and complete games and write a full review by the time the embargo lifts.
This week on Mr. Game Boy, I speak with Matt Travia and Sean Keenan about Sora's long-awaited and near-unlikely arrival to Smash Ultimate as the final DLC character ever. This is a bitter sweet and special moment for the character, and all of us as Smash has been a large part of our lives for the past decade. We talk about our reactions to the character, what we expect, and go down memory lane with some of our favorite Smash Bros. memories.
Welcome back to another week of Mr. Game Boy! Matt and I are back at it again, and with a quick week, we discuss the winner of the IGN gaming bracket as well as have an open discuss about gaming's recent historical accuracy and how that's made an impact on some classroom learning experiences. Do you think video games deserve a spot in the classroom? Watch to listen to our takes!
There was plenty to talk about between Matt and I for this week's episode of Mr. Game Boy. IGN's Best Video Game of All Time bracket has come down to the Final Four, while Nintendo hosted their Nintendo Direct presentation a few days ago. Many games were announced, but among the most unexpected was the casting choices they made for the feature-length animated Mario movie. Matt and I discuss our opinions on those choice and many more in this week's episode!
IGN released a March-madness style bracket of video games that fans vote every few days to determine what is the best video game of all time. Matt and I discuss the current sweet 16, as well as the most likely elite 8 and make our predictions as to what the final four will be. We discuss a few upcoming games coming out this year, as well as have a discussion on what makes a video game considered one of the best of all time.
Join Gabe and Matt as they discuss the 2021 PlayStation Showcase presentation, revealing their favorite games from the event and their most anticipated games heading into the Holiday season. Matt has also acquired a PS5, so we discuss his experiences with the console and what games he looks forward to playing on it.
This was a MAJOR week in gaming! Well, actually two to three weeks, but you get the point. We had Gamescom 2020, the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct, a Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer worldwide reveal, and now we have not only the price and release date for the Xbox Series X, but the reveal, price, and release date for their low budget console, the Xbox Series S! Will Playstation return with prices of their own? Only time can tell, but for now, everything we know so far, and our reactions, are discussed on this week's episode of Mr. Game Boy!
