Demolition is going on as we speak, and so I’ll talk some history on the place and reminisce about my first adventure here, the first large school I ever had the opportunity to explore and document. Rest in pieces, Southwestern High School; they may have brought you low, but we’ll always have our stories, the times we spent within your walls and the scenes we were able to document. Hey all! Welcome to this week's installment of Mr. P.'s Tales from the Road, where we brave the winter wastes of Northern Michigan to visit a palace of icy memories in the form of a famous ski resort that was the place to be (and ski) in the 1970’s. On a cold January weekend in 2021, we traveled north through increasingly worse winter weather to explore and document Sugar Loaf Ski Resort near Traverse City, Michigan. She was torn down not long after our rather treacherous journey there, but there are quite a few stories to tell about this seasonal hotspot and the things we encountered while we wandered the sad remains on a snowy afternoon! So, go whip up a mug of hot chocolate, sit by the chateau fire and enjoy today’s exploratory tales! Have yourselves a wonderful holiday season and we’ll see you in 2023!  -Mr. P.

Hey all! Welcome to this week's installment of Mr. P.'s Tales from the Road, where we'll discuss the history and the recent blitzkrieg demolition begun on one of Detroit, Michigan's iconic abandoned automobile factories; the American Motors Corporation Headquarters. Once a booming, bustling and massive complex that built refrigerators, airplane parts and AMC Pacers across its nearly 100 years of operation, AMC has been vacant for more than a decade, becoming a labyrinthine maze of crumbling corridors, colorful artists' canvases and a wonderland for exploratory photographers and the adventurous. The whole thing is coming down as we speak, so swing on by and hear the history of this once proud symbol of American industrial might, hear a few tales of my multiple visits to the plant and maybe share a few of your own in the comments section on Mr. P. Explores' FB post for this episode! Historical background and nostalgic reminiscing abound, so get comfy, grab a Coney Dog with all the fixin's, grab a frosty, fizzy, sugar-sweet Faygo cola of your choice and enjoy the next forty minutes!
