For the first half of the hour Dan continued the conversation on Winter...It appears this season we’ve had a more mild Winter so far than years past but Winter is not over yet...Yesterday evening there was a winter weather advisory in affect for most of Massachusetts and parts of New Hampshire. Some areas were expected to receive a foot of snow. Dan heard listeners' thoughts on this Winter season so far. Do the overall mild conditions concern you?
Then, for the second half of the hour Dan started his third topic:
New England Experiences Surge in Border Crossings. The U.S. Border Patrol’s Swanton Sector located in Vermont and covering parts of New Hampshire and New York is experiencing a surge in immigrant crossings from Canada. The Border Patrol is asking for volunteers to help manage their overwhelmed Swanton sector that has seen a nearly 850% increase in unauthorized crossings since October. Dan discussed what can and should be done to tackle the ongoing surge here in New England.
