The high-stakes CPI and core CPI readings land Wednesday, followed by PPI Thursday and retail sales Friday, all of it feeding directly into next week's market moves and the Fed's path toward any September decision. Bowman spoke earlier today in what analysts called a low-profile but market-moving appearance as traders position for the data barrage.
Domestically, MP Materials more than doubled its second-quarter revenue plus PPA income to $126.1 million while swinging to a $28.5 million adjusted EBITDA profit on surging neodymium-praseodymium volumes. The rare-earth miner produced 840 metric tons of NdPr and sold more than 1,000 metric tons for the second straight quarter, with magnet shipments to General Motors set to begin in the fourth quarter.
Matador Resources meanwhile generated $303 million in adjusted free cash flow in the second quarter, using $200 million of it to pay down debt, and now expects roughly $900 million for the full year while raising its oil production growth outlook.
