This is part two of a two-part episode, where Carol talks with Thandi Gamedze, Lusanda Mashua, and Sesihle Manzini. Part one was released Monday 15 February, 2021.
Thandi is deeply committed to the work of critique and reimagining (as both action and reflection) towards a world that is just, nurturing, and kind and believes that the arts- and for her personally, poetry in particular- are integral to this work.
Lusanda is passionate about exploring how the gospel intersects with justice, especially questions arising from African urban reality. Her interests are fine arts, history, urban theology, and spiritual formation. Lusanda and her family live in Cape Town, South Africa.
Sesihle Manzini is a multifaceted storyteller with a variety of skills, which cut across technology (UI/UX), marketing, and content creation. She has a background in Psychology, and currently works for a social enterprise focused on monitoring working conditions in global supply chains. She is passionate about the arts and community development, and her involvement in a course presented by the University of Pretoria, called Leadership in Urban Transformation, further stirred her to re-imagine holistic communities, and tell authentic stories. In 2020, she founded a digital platform called Anno Domini, where she curates content focused on faith and culture in Africa.
